Hi, I’m Daisy!

I started working at The Blackburn Vet as a veterinary nursing student in early 2024. I’m currently studying for my Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing at Melbourne Polytechnic and will be graduating at the end of this year.

I’m originally from China and moved to Melbourne in 2019. Before moving here, I was involved in rescuing and caring for stray cats in my hometown, which deepened my passion for animal welfare and inspired me to pursue a career in veterinary nursing. Now I’m lucky enough to share my life with three cats—Jeffery and Penny (who came with me from China), and Boo (who I adopted here in Melbourne)—plus an energetic Miniature American Shepherd named Milo.

I enjoy all aspects of patient care and love learning new skills through hands-on experience in the clinic. I speak Mandarin and English fluently, and a little bit of Cantonese.

Outside of work, I love cooking, watching TV shows, and travelling. I’m also a big fan of Melbourne’s amazing brunch scene—you’ll often find me exploring new cafés on the weekend!
