Ebony gets big lump removed

Ebony is a twelve year old Labrador cross who recently visited us with a large lump over her left shoulder. Ebony's owners had noticed in recent weeks that this lump had changed slightly and was now discharging a thick fluid.

The decision was made to remove the mass on her shoulder, as this was the only way to effectively treat the problem. Pre-anaesthetic testing, coupled with a full physical examination, revealed Ebony was otherwise well, so she was admitted for surgery to remove this large lump.

To completely remove this growth, a wide and deep surgical incision was required to ensure this mass was completely removed and wouldn't bother Ebony any more.

We are pleased to report Ebony is recovering well from surgery at this stage and she has been an exceptionally well behaved patient along the way!
