Dr Andrew Sellars-Jones - Head Veterinarian

Andrew is a graduate of the Universities of Melbourne and Queensland. He loves his job and feels privileged to have been able to look after the pets of Blackburn and beyond for the last 19 years! He has a keen interest in small animal medicine and surgery.
When not at work he enjoys playing with his Southdown Sheep Flock and the three young women in his life.
Dr Lisa Woollard - Veterinarian

Lisa graduated from the University of Melbourne with no less than three degrees! She joined The Blackburn Vet team in September 2015 after having spent the past few years working in a small animal clinic in Sunbury. Lisa enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but has a special interest in internal and feline medicine.
Lisa shares her house (and couch) with her stunning Ragdoll cat, Zoe, and has two beautiful German Shepherd dogs, Jake and Nyssah.
Dr Brigida Cornetta - Veterinarian
Brigida graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in 2013 and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. She feels very privileged to have become part of the team at The Blackburn Vet in 2017. Her interests in veterinary medicine include small animal medicine and dentistry.
Brigida enjoys spending time with her family and (of course) her pets: Rex the Maltese X Shih Tzu and Romeo the Persian cat.
Penny Casey - practice manager
Penny started her career as a Veterinary Nurse in 2005 and she has never looked back. In 2008 she relocated to one of our sister clinics and has been with the group ever since.
In her career Penny has carried out general nursing, puppy school training, lead nursing and has been a Practice Manager.
At home Penny has two beautiful little boys and a 12 year old rescue cat called Sasha. Sasha loves nothing more than to check out all the smells that Penny brings home from a day at the clinic.
Tara Beattie - Veterinary Nurse
Tara started working with The Blackburn Vet in August 2009. She has been nursing for the past 12 years and obtained her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2011. She has a very keen interest in surgical nursing and loves all of the animals and clients that come into the clinic.
Tara has her beloved 16 year old Staffie Rocky at home and her 3 Greyhounds - 9 year old Boy Pete, 8 year old Girl Jeepers and 7 year old Girl Dasher.
Erin Green - Veterinary Nurse/ Puppy Pre-SChool Trainer
Erin started with The Blackburn Vet in September 2009, after working at Guide Dogs Victoria for 5 years. Erin’s main area of interest is surgical nursing, however she also runs the Puppy Pre-School classes at the clinic, which helps feed her love for animal behaviour.
At home Erin has a beautiful black Labrador called Kirri and a very sweet RSPCA rescue dog named Bowie. Erin’s latest adoptee is an Oriental cat called Dexter.
Olivia Sullivan - Veterinary Nurse
Olivia has been a nurse with the Blackburn Vet since 2009. She is currently studying Veterinary Medicine at Melbourne University to peruse her goal of becoming a Veterinarian. In her spare time Olivia enjoys riding her horses and cuddles from her 3 Papillion dogs.
Sarah King - Veterinary Nurse
Sarah joined our clinic in early 2016 after having worked at an animal shelter for the past 4 years. She has completed her Certificate II in Animal Studies and is currently completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
Sarah has a special place in her heart for all pocket pets and wildlife. She loves caring for injured wildlife whenever the opportunity arises. When not at work, Sarah spends most of her time at home looking after her three beautiful rabbits - Big Bun, Lady Peaches and Mr. Kernel Peanuts, and her handsome rescue dog Arthur.
Madeline anderson - veterinary nurse
Maddie is our newest team member who joined our clinic in mid 2016 and is currently completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. She has previously volunteered at Guide Dogs Victoria and currently volunteers at Animal Aid Coldstream once a week.
Maddie moved to Melbourne 5 years ago, having grown up on a large beef and dairy farm in country Gippsland with her family and loves getting back to the farm whenever she has a free weekend.
At home Maddie is kept busy with her delightfully demanding feline Mog.
